LTM Teams with IBM and Red Hat on AI-Powered Open-Source Security Remediation
IT services company LTM has partnered with IBM and Red Hat to help enterprises address security vulnerabilities in open-source software using artificial intelligence. The collaboration centers on Lightwell, an open-source software maintenance platform developed to support the identification and remediation of vulnerabilities in software dependencies.
LTM will provide services around vulnerability analysis, remediation planning, and implementation for enterprises using the platform. Its role will span dependency analysis, risk-based prioritization, and remediation program management, along with integration into DevSecOps processes.
Chandan Pani, Chief Information Security Officer at LTM, said that the collaboration combines Lightwell's AI-driven remediation capabilities with LTM's engineering and cybersecurity expertise to help organizations address open-source software risks at scale. The company will also work with enterprises to integrate vulnerability remediation into existing software engineering and security operations.
The partnership comes as enterprises continue to rely on open-source components in their applications, increasing the importance of identifying and addressing vulnerabilities across software dependencies.
