Lucknow-Delhi Tejas Express Now Branded as Sprite Tejas Express
The Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) has awarded the advertising rights for the Lucknow-Delhi Tejas Express to Coca-Cola's Sprite brand. As a result, the train will now run as the 'Sprite Tejas Express' with vinyl wrapping featuring Sprite advertisements on five coaches.
The six-month branding deal was confirmed by an IRCTC official, who stated that the corporation has been operating the Tejas Express since October 4, 2019. The train runs between New Delhi and Lucknow, covering a distance of 512 km in 6 hours and 35 minutes with three stops along the way.
The Sprite branding deal comes as part of IRCTC's efforts to monetize its assets and generate revenue through advertising. The official noted that the corporation has been operating the Tejas Express since October 4, 2019, making it the first corporate train to run on the Indian Railways network.
