Lufthansa Flies into Microsoft Flight Simulator with Centennial Livery Pack
Microsoft and Lufthansa have partnered on a new project for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, celebrating the German airline's centennial year. The collaboration includes six liveries from Lufthansa's fleet of 'Super Crane' aircraft, which were specifically designed to commemorate the airline's milestone anniversary.
The partnership also involves iniBuilds, a developer who has worked with real-world airlines on branded projects in the past. Microsoft says that these liveries will be available for download in MSFS 2024, although they can currently be accessed through the iniManager.
While the release of these liveries marks an exciting collaboration among industry players, it's worth noting that Lufthansa has licensed several liveries for a new Local Legend aircraft, 'The Heinkel He 70 Blitz', also released by Microsoft. This partnership demonstrates the growing importance of partnerships between game developers and real-world companies.
