Luxair Lands First Two Company-Owned Boeing 737 MAX 8s

Luxair has welcomed its first two company-owned Boeing 737 MAX 8s. The airline's fleet renewal and expansion program, valued at over €1 billion, includes these aircraft.

The first of the two planes, LX-LBC, was delivered to Luxair on July 17-18 after being ferried from Boeing Field in Seattle via Keflavik. It has already been flying commercially for nearly two weeks, having entered service on August 15. The second plane, LX-LBD, arrived a week later, leaving Boeing Field on August 25.

Luxair is not new to the 737 MAX, as it had previously leased two of these aircraft in 2023. Those planes were built in 2018 and were originally intended for Air Italy before being delivered to Luxair.
