Luxury Cruise Ship Amazon Explorer Sets Sail on Peru's Amazon River

andBeyond has launched its second luxury cruise ship, the Amazon Explorer. This vessel is designed for journeys along the Peruvian Amazon river and combines the intimacy of small ship cruising with the opulence of a private superyacht.

The Amazon Explorer measures 242 feet in length and accommodates just 32 guests across 15 suites, some of which have floor-to-ceiling windows. Built by SIMA shipyard, the ship is powered by twin Caterpillar 600 HP engines and can reach speeds of up to 12 knots.

Onboard amenities include a River Retreat with pool and comfortable seating, as well as a spacious sundeck with sun loungers and another large pool. The Amazon-inspired Pisco Bar serves as the main social hub, while guests also have access to a curated wine collection and an elegant wellness area featuring a luxury spa center and gym.

The Explorer Center is designed for talks led by experts and naturalists, allowing guests to map out personalized adventure trips on the river. For those seeking a more relaxed experience, the media room offers a curated selection of documentaries and classic movies amidst stunning views of the Amazon.
