She also worked as a Customer Representative at Fireman's Fund (also known as American Express) for 15 years, where she developed an unwavering work ethic and professionalism that earned her lasting friendships.

Lydia's love for gardening and cooking was well-known to those who knew her, and she spent many years running her own plant shop in Petaluma. Her dedication to volunteer work, particularly with hospice, also left a lasting impact on her community.
