Macquarie Cloud Services has signed a Microsoft Datacentre Optimisation (DCO) agreement to boost its Azure consumption over three years. The deal, worth up to $278 million by 2034, reflects Macquarie's position as Microsoft's leading Australian cloud service provider.

The agreement builds on the company's work with Microsoft to support Australian organisations in their cloud transformation journeys. This includes helping them migrate and modernise infrastructure, improve efficiency, and innovate faster with Azure.

Australia's public cloud market is expected to reach $155.6 billion by 2034, driven by factors such as AI, cybersecurity uplift, systems modernisation, and key policy drivers.
