Macy's has appointed Maya Dukes as its senior vice president and executive creative director. The move comes as the company executes on its Bold New Chapter strategy, which was introduced in 2024 to return the company to enterprise growth. This strategy focuses on strengthening the Macy's nameplate, accelerating luxury growth, and streamlining operations.

Dukes brings extensive experience to the role, having previously served as a senior graphic designer at Macy's from 2001 to 2007, and later holding leadership positions at Delta Air Lines, Jack Henry & Associates, Comcast NBCUniversal, The Home Depot, and Tuesday Morning. She will oversee the company's creative strategy and branding, collaborating with marketing, merchandising, and digital teams.

Macy's has recently launched several marketing initiatives aimed at creating deeper relationships with customers. These include expanding its Style Crew affiliate marketing program beyond social media and launching a year-long 'Celebrations Start at Macy's' campaign to highlight special moments throughout the year.
