Mahindra & Mahindra Takes Top Honors at PMIS Industry Awards

The Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA) held the PMIS Industry Awards on August 14, 2026, in New Delhi to celebrate the outstanding contributions of partner companies involved in the Prime Minister Internship Scheme (PMIS). The event highlighted the exceptional dedication of organizations that foster young talent and provide high-quality internship experiences.

Mahindra & Mahindra Limited was honored as the Overall Industry Champion for its significant role in promoting internships and engaging youth through the scheme. The company has welcomed over 1,000 interns across the Mahindra Group, nearly five times the number of interns who joined in Round II, reflecting the evolution of the PM Internship Scheme into a program that operates at scale.

Industry representatives shared their positive experiences with PMIS during the awards ceremony. IBM emphasized the fresh perspectives interns contribute to organizations and the importance of cultivating skills relevant to the future job market. Dr. Reddy's Laboratories provided an example of the scheme's broader implications, where one intern leveraged their PMIS internship certificate to gain admittance to a prestigious pharmaceutical program at Long Island University in Brooklyn.
