Maj Invest Boosts Stake in American Express by 19.5%

American Express Company (NYSE:AXP) has seen its stake increased by Maj Invest Holding A S, an institutional investor. According to a recent filing with the Securities & Exchange Commission, Maj Invest Holding A S boosted its holdings in American Express by 19.5% during the second quarter.

The institutional investor owned 375,514 shares of the payment services company's stock after buying an additional 61,316 shares during the quarter. This represents a significant increase and accounts for 5.8% of Maj Invest Holding A S's investment portfolio.

American Express has also seen other hedge funds and institutional investors add to their stakes in the company. Evolution Wealth Management Inc., for example, increased its position in American Express by 6,600.0% during the fourth quarter.
