Major Investors Reveal Their Stakes in Elon Musk's SpaceX
Nvidia and Alphabet are among the major institutional investors that have disclosed their stakes in SpaceX following its IPO. The disclosures provide insight into who owns the rocket company and how some early investments have appreciated significantly.
The filings reveal that Nvidia's investment is worth around $17.2 billion, down from $21 billion at the end of June due to a decline in the stock price. Alphabet, on the other hand, has seen its investment increase by over 100-fold since it initially invested $900 million in SpaceX in 2015.
The university endowment Harvard Management Co. also disclosed a substantial investment in SpaceX, with a position valued at around $2.2 billion as of June 30. Norway's sovereign wealth fund has a smaller stake, worth over $1.2 billion, or 0.05% of the company.
