Malaysia Hotel Transforms Boeing 747s into Luxury Suites
Located in Johor Bahru, Malaysia, the 1975 Avenue & Hotel has transformed two historic Boeing 747s into luxury hotel suites. The aircraft, named Bove and Bey, contain 18 suites each, with themes inspired by various countries including Japan, Korea, Mexico, and others.
The hotel's official website is now live, offering 'Book Now' links for guests to stay in the aircraft suites, which have been designed to provide a unique first-class experience. Published rates earlier this year suggested roughly RM1,500 to RM3,000 per night for the aircraft suites, depending on category.
The 747s have some fascinating history, with one being a Boeing 747SR-146B formerly registered JA8143 with Japan Airlines and the other being a Boeing 747-121 built in 1970 for Pan Am. The hotel development also includes 20 conventional rooms in an adjacent building, as well as various leisure facilities such as a man-made beach, swimming pools, spa, sauna, gym, restaurants, and event space.
The project has been in the making for years, with plans first laid out in a 2022 brochure. The aircraft are now preserved on the hotel site, and it appears that the property is finally open and accepting guests.
