Malaysian Hotel Transforms Two Boeing 747s into Luxury Suites
Located in Johor, Malaysia, the 1975 Avenue & Hotel by Tiong Nam Hospitality is an innovative hospitality concept that has gained attention for its unique design. The hotel features two Boeing 747 aircraft, named Bove and Bey, which have been converted into nine suites each.
The designers had to work around the physical limitations of the aircraft, including restricted ceiling heights and narrow sections, to create comfortable and functional rooms. Each suite has a carefully integrated bathroom, living area, lighting, furniture, and detailing, including a bathtub in every bathroom.
The hotel's design team used the architectural constraints of the plane to create character rather than allowing them to become disadvantages. The staircases, upper levels, glass balustrades, lighting, and clever use of built-in furniture demonstrate how much thought went into making every centimetre useful.
