Man Charged Over Alleged Theft of N170m Vehicle Parts
A 33-year-old man, Kazeem Akogun, has been charged with allegedly stealing parts of a Caterpillar machine valued at N170 million. The incident occurred on August 19 and was committed by Akogun in conjunction with others still at large, according to the police.
The prosecution stated that Akogun stole some parts of the Caterpillar machine, property of Laralek Construction Company, which is worth a significant amount of money.
Akogun pleaded not guilty to the charges of conspiracy and stealing. He was granted bail by the Magistrate, Mr. Lateef Owolabi, in the sum of N1 million with two sureties in like sum.
