Man Convicted of Murder-For-Hire in Slaying of Microsoft Manager
A man named Mario Fernandez Saldana has been convicted of first-degree murder and solicitation of murder in connection to the fatal shooting of Jared Bridegan, a Microsoft design manager. The killing occurred on February 16, 2022, on a Florida road in Jacksonville Beach.
Bridegan was shot twice while removing a tire from the road with his daughter sitting nearby in her car seat. Prosecutors believe he was killed due to ongoing strife with his former wife Shanna Gardner over the parenting of their twins.
Fernandez Saldana is married to Gardner, whose trial is set to start in September. The alleged gunman, Henry Tenon, initially pleaded guilty and agreed to testify against Fernandez Saldana but later backed out of the deal and will stand trial next year.
