Mangione's Murder Trial Postponed Amid Double Jeopardy Challenge
Luigi Mangione's state murder trial has been postponed due to his request to dismiss the case on double jeopardy grounds.
Mangione pleaded guilty to federal charges for stalking and killing UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson in 2024.
He admitted to researching UnitedHealth Group's annual investor conference, posing as an investor to gain access, and fatally shooting Thompson after he followed him to a Midtown Manhattan hotel.
