Manulife and Microsoft Deepen AI Partnership with Five-Year Agreement
Manulife and Microsoft have renewed their partnership to expand the use of AI technology. The five-year agreement includes the adoption of Microsoft's Frontier Suite and Microsoft Agent 365, as well as the deployment of Microsoft 365 Copilot.
Aaron Minkovich, Manulife's chief technology officer, emphasized that this expanded partnership supports the company's strategic priority of becoming an AI-powered organization. He highlighted the importance of accessibility across departments, enabling employees to work more efficiently and make better decisions.
Manulife has seen significant value from its AI investments, with over 80% of developers actively using GitHub Copilot, resulting in a 30% increase in productivity. Additionally, AI has eliminated over 400,000 manual intake and indexing tasks within their U.S. claims and servicing operations.
