Mark Ruffalo's Son Lands Major Role in New Amazon Prime Drama
Keen Ruffalo, the son of Oscar-nominated actor Mark Ruffalo, is making his Hollywood debut in Amazon Prime's new coming-of-age drama Sterling Point. The 25-year-old has landed the role of Connor Jacobson, a character who, along with his twin sister Annie, discovers they've inherited a remote island in Canada from their estranged grandfather.
Keen revealed on the Today show that he was studying fashion design in college before dropping out due to COVID-19 burnout. He stated that after experiencing 'Covid depression,' he needed a change and saw acting as an opportunity to try something new, inspired by his father's passion for acting.
Mark Ruffalo was supportive of Keen's decision but had reservations about the industry. Keen explained that he went through around 100 auditions before landing Sterling Point, which premiered on Amazon Prime this week with all eight episodes available at once.
