Marvell Awaits Q2 Earnings Amid $100 Billion Google Deal Frenzy
Marvell Technology is set to release its second-quarter fiscal 2027 earnings report on August 27, after the market closes. The company's stock has seen a significant increase in value over the past year, rising by approximately 221% to $235.36 as of pre-market on August 25.
Market analysts are closely watching Marvell's performance due to its recent partnership with Google, which is valued at $100 billion. The deal includes warrants for Google to purchase up to 7% of Marvell's total share capital at an exercise price of $206.58.
The company has provided guidance for Q2 revenue and earnings per share, which Wall Street estimates align closely with. For the quarter, analysts expect revenue of $2.71 billion, a year-over-year increase of 35.2%, and earnings per share of 93 cents, up 39% from last year.
Marvell's data center business accounts for approximately 76% of its revenue, with management guiding full-year growth at around 50%. The company has raised its overall revenue outlook for fiscal year 2027 to $11.5 billion, a year-over-year increase of about 40%, and set a target of $16.5 billion for fiscal year 2028.
On August 19, Marvell and Google announced an expanded partnership, covering data center chip products such as AI inference accelerators. The deal has led to a surge in the company's stock price, but some analysts are cautious due to fierce competition from giants like Broadcom and high valuations.
