Marvell Stands Strong Ahead of Earnings Amid Google Partnership
Marvell Technology, Inc. (MRVL) has had a turbulent week, but its partnership with Google stands strong ahead of key earnings hurdles. The company's stock closed at $237.04 on Friday, up 6.8% for the week and down 5.6% in the last session.
The Google deal affirms Marvell's position in custom AI chips, but the largest figure represents a maximum limit, not confirmed sales. The agreement includes a warrant covering 58.97 million shares at an exercise price of $206.58 per share.
Of these shares, 1.36 million are subject to time-based vesting, while the balance becomes vested in increments tied to 240 revenue milestones of $500 million each, extending until the end of fiscal 2033.
Analysts maintain an optimistic outlook for Marvell's earnings report on August 27, with a consensus price target of $263.94 and potential gain of 11.4%. However, some caution that limited wafer supply might cap short-term gains.
