Marvell Technology's share price surged by over 7% on Wednesday, after CEO Matt Murphy's confident comments on CNBC's 'Mad Money' show.

Murphy stated that trust is a key factor in the company's relationships with customers, saying, 'In this market, these large hyperscale customers and the ecosystem around it, it's really based on trust.'

This sentiment was enough to reassure investors, despite Marvell recently losing out to Qualcomm for a major chip deal with Amazon.

The deal could be worth up to $60 billion, but Marvell has also secured a partnership with Alphabet's Google to design custom AI chips, which includes the option for Google to purchase up to $12 billion of Marvell shares.
