Marvell's Google Windfall Delay Sparks Investor Backlash
Marvell Technology's stock plummeted 9.5 percent to €187.50 after the company delivered an impressive earnings report.
The quarterly revenue of $2.739 billion was up 37 percent year over year, with data center segment growth leading at 46 percent.
However, investors were disappointed by the timeline for meaningful revenue contributions from the expanded partnership with Alphabet's Google, which is estimated to reach up to $120 billion in procurement volume through fiscal 2033.
The market had expected a sooner return on this massive deal, but Marvell management clarified that it won't materialize until fiscal 2029, two to three years later than anticipated.
