Maybank Launches Revamped American Express Gold Charge Card with Rose Gold Design

Maybank has revamped its American Express Gold Charge Card with a new rose gold design and enhanced benefits for cardmembers. The updated card offers more rewards for everyday lifestyle spending, including 10% cashback on selected streaming subscriptions and movie ticket purchases.

The card now earns 2x Membership Rewards points for every RM1 spent locally and 3x points per RM1 for overseas spending, with some categories earning 1x point instead. Membership Rewards points also do not expire, giving users more flexibility in redeeming their rewards.

Maybank's Group Chief Executive Officer of Community Financial Services, Syed Ahmad Taufik Albar, emphasized the importance of evolving alongside changing lifestyles while maintaining recognition and service associated with the Maybank American Express Gold Card. The card's annual fee is RM238, but it is waived for the first three years.

Cardmembers can also enjoy up to 40% off dining privileges at participating hotels and resorts nationwide. New principal card applicants receive RM200 in welcome rewards, comprising RM100 Grab Credits and RM100 Movie Credits, when they spend at least RM500 within 30 days from the card issuance date.
