McAfee Slams Colts' Division Odds: 'That Can't Happen'
Pat McAfee was not pleased when discussing the Indianapolis Colts' division odds, stating that their offseason spending should have yielded more than a third-place slot in the AFC South. The team has committed $246 million to quarterback Daniel Jones, running back Jonathan Taylor, and receiver Alec Pierce.
The Colts sit at +380 to win the AFC South, trailing the Houston Texans (+110) and Jacksonville Jaguars (+245), with the Tennessee Titans (+800) being the only team behind them in odds. Oddsmakers have set Indianapolis' win total at 7.5 for a 17-game season, giving the team +170 odds to make the playoffs and -205 odds to miss them entirely.
McAfee pointed out that the Colts were one of two teams to be kicked off a Thursday night's guaranteed primetime game after Amazon dropped its requirement, leading to the team being largely overlooked. He also mentioned that the fan base deserves a home playoff game, and the team hasn't had a primetime game since losing their spot in the Thursday Night Football rotation.
