MCD Unveils 'Next' Growth Strategy Amid Weaker Stock Performance
McDonald's is revamping its operations to drive growth and become customers' first choice. The company's new strategy, dubbed 'McDonald's > NEXT,' focuses on menu innovation, restaurant upgrades, and customer engagement initiatives.
The plan includes testing new chicken offerings, such as hand-breaded wings and filets, to better compete with chains like Raising Cane's. McDonald's is also upgrading its restaurants with automation, higher service standards, targeted digital marketing, and improved core menu offerings.
CEO Chris Kempczinski emphasized the importance of value, convenience, speed, and food quality in attracting customers. He noted that inflation is keeping value in focus, and McDonald's must 'earn, and re-earn, each and every visit' to meet rising expectations.
