McDonald's Appeals to Planning Inspectorate Again Over Billboard Plans

McDonald's is appealing to the Planning Inspectorate for the second time after East Suffolk Council refused advertisement consent for a new billboard at one of its restaurants in Lowestoft.

The council rejected plans to install a freestanding, double-sided sign at the McDonald's drive-through restaurant on Kirkley Rise due to concerns that it would be 'disproportionate and visually intrusive' in the area.

Last month, another McDonald's restaurant in Pakefield had its appeal for new signage refused by the council, with plans deemed 'incongruous to the area.'
