McDonald's Expands to Ukrainian Resort Town Bukovel
McDonald's has opened its first restaurant in the Ukrainian resort town of Bukovel. The new location is part of a wider expansion effort by the company, which has already opened nine other restaurants in Ukraine this year.
The nearly 477-square-meter facility offers about 280 seats and features McDonald's modern service channels, including self-service kiosks, McDrive, and mobile ordering through the McDonald's app.
As reported, all McDonald's restaurants in Ukraine operate under enhanced safety rules during air raid alerts. Restaurant employees receive their full wages regardless of time spent in shelters.
The company has been expanding rapidly in Ukraine since the start of the war, opening 43 new locations. McDonald's employs nearly 11,000 Ukrainians and operates 131 restaurants across 44 populated areas.
