McDonald's Falls Short in US Business Amid Leadership Change
McDonald's reported mixed quarterly results as its U.S. business fell short of expectations.
The company announced that Skye Anderson will assume the role of president of its U.S. business, effective immediately.
CCEO Chris Kempczinski said that McDonald's didn't execute at the level needed in the second quarter and that about 60-65% of its system has implemented the 'under $3 menu,' which includes 10 items.
Kempczinski stated that complicated launches slowed down restaurant operations, adding to service times and hurting customer satisfaction scores.
