A viral post on X caught attention when an anonymous individual claimed to be an intern at McDonald's India, alleging that their manager had not paid them for months.

The post, which was later deleted, read: 'I am an intern at McDonald's India. My boss, Amit Joshi, has not paid me for months, forcing me to take on two extra jobs.'

McDonald's India responded with a follow-up post, saying 'If only our actual posts went this viral,' and included hashtags #memecoin and #fakenews.
