McDonald's India Intern Claims Unpaid Wages, Turns to Memecoin Trading
An unexpected controversy erupted on social media after an individual claiming to be a McDonald's India intern published a series of posts from the company's official X account, alleging they had not received salary payments for months.
The posts, which were later deleted but remain in circulation online, claimed that the intern managed several Asian social media accounts and named a supervisor as allegedly responsible for the unpaid wages.
The individual stated that the lack of payment forced them to take up additional jobs in customer support and delivery services, and even ventured into trading memecoins while struggling financially.
In one post, the person claimed they were 'starving every day' due to losses incurred in cryptocurrency trading and alleged unpaid dues exceeding Rs 60,000.
