McDonald's Posts 1.3% Global Comparable Sales Growth, Appoints New US President
McDonald's Corporation announced its second quarter results for 2026, showing positive comparable sales growth across every segment. Global Systemwide sales increased by 5% to $37 billion, while system-wide sales in loyalty markets rose over 20% to $40 billion.
The company reported a 1.3% increase in global comparable sales, with the U.S. market seeing an 0.8% rise and international operated markets increasing by 1.5%. International developmental licensed markets saw a 1.9% gain.
Chris Kempczinski, Chairman and CEO of McDonald's Corporation, stated that the company has 'delivered positive comparable sales growth across every segment' but sees an opportunity to accelerate performance in its largest market, the U.S.
