McDonald's Sees 5% Global Sales Growth Amid Leadership Shakeup
McDonald's reported its second-quarter 2026 results on August 7, 2026. The company saw a 5% increase in global systemwide sales to $37 billion for the quarter, with 4% growth in constant currencies.
The company also announced that Skye Anderson would be taking over as President of McDonald's USA, bringing her experience and expertise to lead the company's largest market. Chairman and CEO Chris Kempczinski said, 'This quarter McDonald's delivered positive comparable sales growth across every segment... while our playbook is working around the world, we see an opportunity to raise the bar in the U.S. and accelerate performance in our largest market.'
McDonald's saw a 1.3% increase in global comparable sales, with 0.8% growth in the US and 1.9% growth in international developmental licensed markets.
