McDonald's Sees 5% Global Sales Growth in Q2 2026, Appoints New US Chief
McDonald's Corporation has announced its second quarter results for 2026. The company saw a 5% increase in global systemwide sales, reaching $37 billion. This growth was driven by positive comparable sales across every segment, including the US, international operated markets, and developmental licensed markets.
The company also reported an increase of over 20% in systemwide sales to loyalty members for the trailing twelve months, with a significant jump in 90-day active loyalty users. Skye Anderson has been appointed as President of McDonald's USA, bringing her deep system knowledge, operational discipline, and ability to drive change and deliver results.
Chris Kempczinski, Chairman and CEO, stated that the company is priming itself for long-term growth. The second quarter financial performance showed a 4% increase in consolidated revenues and a 3% increase in consolidated operating income. Diluted earnings per share were $3.32, an increase of 6% from the prior year.
