McDonald's Stock Hits One-Year Low After Q2 Earnings
McDonald's stock is trading near a one-year low after releasing its Q2 earnings report. The company reported revenue of $7.099 billion, up 4 percent year-over-year, and diluted EPS of $3.32, or $3.38 excluding restructuring charges.
The quarterly numbers showed that earnings growth still outpaced the top line, with a 6 percent increase in Q2 EPS compared to the same period last year. The operating margin reached 46.2 percent for the first half of 2026, up from 45.7 percent in the same period in 2025.
Despite a market perform rating and target of $295 from Sanford C. Bernstein, McDonald's stock has been under pressure. It finished trading at $256 on September 7, just above its 52-week low of $255.49 and 25.1 percent below the high of $341.75.
The company declared a quarterly dividend of $1.86 per share, payable on September 16, 2026. The dividend payout points to a steady cash-return profile even as the shares trade far below their 52-week high.
