McDonald's Taps Veteran Skye Anderson to Lead US Growth Effort
McDonald's has appointed Skye Anderson as its new U.S. president in an effort to bolster performance in its largest market.
Anderson, a 26-year company veteran with a proven track record of driving growth and innovation, succeeds Joe Erlinger who held the role for several years.
The leadership transition comes as McDonald's seeks to enhance performance in the U.S. amidst slowing domestic growth. The company reported mixed results for its latest quarter, with U.S. same-store sales growing by a modest 0.8% and revenue coming in slightly below expectations at $7.1 billion.
Anderson has held key roles including Chief Operating Officer of McDonald's USA and leader of the Global Business Services segment, which streamlined corporate operations for efficiency. McDonald's CEO Chris Kempczinski expressed confidence in Anderson's ability to accelerate growth in the U.S., emphasizing her track record as a change agent capable of delivering results.
