McDonald's Thornaby Reopens After Month-Long Refurbishment

A Teesside McDonald's is nearing completion of its major makeover and will reopen in just over a week, with new features including a drive-thru order display canopy and internal signage.

The restaurant on Allensway in Thornaby has been closed since early August while work took place on a full renovation of the site. The final changes are being made ahead of its reopening date of September 2 at 11am.

A video shared by McDonald's shows construction work taking place throughout the restaurant as staff prepare to return. While every detail has not been revealed, new digital display boards and internal signage will be part of the updated site.
