McDonald's Wedding Woes Don't Deter Love for Couple
In a unique and unexpected twist, two coworkers at a Northeast Ohio McDonald's got married in front of their colleagues and customers. Jamie Callicoat, a manager at the restaurant, exchanged vows with George Callicoat, the crew trainer, while still wearing her wedding dress.
Despite the ceremony taking place during work hours, some customers were able to order from the kiosks or use the drive-thru, but most were understanding of the situation. 'We had people trying to come in the lobby the whole time,' Jamie said, 'but we just rolled with the punches.'
The couple's wedding quickly went viral on social media, garnering over 20 million impressions across Instagram and Facebook. The event was a team effort, with crew members and managers working together to make it special.
'It's still work, if you're there off the clock, on the clock, whatever,' Jamie said of the situation. 'We were there interrupting to have our personal wedding.'
