The Amgen Irish Open 2026 is set to return to Ireland this week, with defending champion Rory McIlroy looking forward to his title defence on home soil. The event will take place at the Trump International Golf Links Doonbeg, which is owned by Donald Trump.

McIlroy, who won the Masters championship last year, said that playing in front of Irish fans is 'incredibly special' and that he hopes to give them more of the same this year. The prize money payout for the event will be a total of $6 million, with the winner taking home $1,020,000.

The Amgen Irish Open 2026 will feature a large purse, with over 50 places paying out at least $22,200. McIlroy is hoping to repeat his victory from last year, when he won in a playoff against Joakim Lagergren.
