MercadoLibre on Pace to Join Amazon, Walmart, and Costco in $100 Billion Revenue Club
According to The Motley Fool, MercadoLibre is expected to join Amazon, Walmart, and Costco in the $100 billion revenue club by 2029. In just five years, the company has grown its business nearly tenfold, from $1.2 billion in 2017 to $10.8 billion in 2022. However, reaching the $100 billion mark next year is considered unrealistic.
The analyst consensus suggests that MercadoLibre will hit this milestone by 2030, with projected revenue reaching $102.2 billion. But an optimist might argue that with a 37.5% growth rate over the past five years and accelerating revenue increases in recent quarters, the company could reach the $100 billion mark by 2029.
MercadoLibre has already demonstrated its ability to innovate and find new revenue streams, with an impressive streak of 30 consecutive quarters with revenue growth above 30%. The company's latest quarter saw net revenue rise 50%, its strongest growth in four years. With shares trading lower this year, it may be a good time to be bullish on the stock.
