Merck Animal Health Awards $90,000 in Scholarships to Future Bovine Veterinarians
Merck Animal Health has awarded $90,000 in scholarships to nine students pursuing their DVM degrees at various universities. The recipients of the Merck Animal Health Bovine Veterinary Student Recognition Award were selected based on their academic achievements, career goals, work experience, and interest in veterinary medicine.
The scholarship program is a partnership between Merck Animal Health and the American Association of Bovine Practitioners (AABP) Foundation. The awards were presented at the 2026 AABP Annual Conference held in Minneapolis from August 27-29. Each recipient will receive $10,000 to support their education.
The scholarship recipients include students from the University of Wisconsin, Iowa State University, Cornell University, and other institutions. They come from a variety of backgrounds, but all share a passion for bovine medicine and a commitment to serving the cattle industry.
