Merck Expands Biosafety Testing Lab in Singapore with New NGS Capabilities

Merck has expanded its biosafety testing laboratory in Singapore to strengthen analytical and contract testing services for biopharmaceutical companies across Asia Pacific.

The expansion will make the Singapore laboratory Merck’s first BioReliance facility in the region to offer both Cell Line Characterization services and Good Manufacturing Practice next-generation sequencing capabilities.

Biosafety testing forms part of the drug development and manufacturing process for biologics, helping manufacturers assess product safety and meet regulatory requirements.
