Merck Expands Singapore Biosafety Testing Lab to Boost APAC Access
Merck has expanded its biosafety testing laboratory in Singapore to provide quicker access to services for biopharmaceutical companies across Asia Pacific.
The enlarged BioReliance laboratory, which was opened in 2018, will now offer both Cell Line Characterisation services and GMP next-generation sequencing. This is the first facility in Merck's Asia Pacific network to do so.
The lab supports testing during the development and manufacture of biologic medicines, where companies must check for contaminants and demonstrate that products meet safety and quality standards.
