Merck Foundation CEO Dr. Rasha Kelej Named One of '100 Most Impactful Voices 2026'
Dr. Rasha Kelej, CEO of Merck Foundation, has been recognized among '100 Most Impactful Voices 2026' by ABCD Africa. This prestigious list celebrates influential women of African descent who are driving meaningful change in their communities.
Dr. Kelej expressed her gratitude for the recognition and acknowledged her team's hard work over the past 14 years to build healthcare capacity, empower women, and support girl education across Africa.
Under Dr. Kelej's leadership, Merck Foundation has provided over 2,500 scholarships for healthcare providers in 52 countries and has trained more than 4,000 media representatives to raise awareness about social and health issues.
The foundation also launched several community awareness programs, including 'Art and Fashion with Purpose', which addresses critical health and social issues through various mediums such as music, storybooks, and animation films.
