Merck Insiders' Mixed Signals on Share Price
Merck & Co., Inc. (NYSE:MRK) shareholders might be concerned about recent insider transactions, particularly those involving Chirfi Guindo, Executive Vice President of Strategic Access.
Guindo sold shares at an average price of $131, netting around $2.0m and decreasing their holding size by 24%, a notable disposal.
In the last year, Merck insiders didn't buy any company stock, while Robert Davis, Chairman, sold $5.6m worth of shares at $118 per share in one transaction.
According to Simply Wall St analysis, this sale was only 9.7% of Davis's holding and occurred below the current price of $129, which may suggest they were happy with a lower valuation.
