Merck KGaA Raises 2026 Earnings Forecast on Strong Quarterly Results
Merk KGaA, a German family-controlled company, has raised its earnings forecast for 2026 after posting better-than-expected quarterly results. The company's diversified business model, which includes Life Science and Electronics units, has driven growth in demand for drug manufacturing supplies and semiconductor materials.
The adjusted EBITDA (earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization) for the quarter was €1.60 billion, a 9.4% increase from last year's €1.47 billion. This figure surpassed analyst consensus of €1.53 billion, according to Merck's website.
Merk has also made significant moves in its Life Science unit, with the recent acquisition of Bio-Techne for $11.3 billion. The company states that this deal will add 'additional differentiated capabilities across research, bioprocessing, and advanced therapeutics.'
