MERCK Lifts Long-term Revenue Target to Over $70 Billion
MERCK has outlined its growth strategy at the Wells Fargo healthcare conference. The company aims to reach over $70 billion in long-term revenue, up from about $50 billion last year. This target reflects successful product launches and progress in various therapeutic areas.
The oncology pipeline remains a key growth driver for Merck. Sac-TMT, an antibody-drug conjugate, is being tested in 17 clinical trials across different cancers. Phase 3 data showed strong results with PD-1 standard therapy in China. The company plans to explore over 50 possible indications across PD-L1-positive tumors.
Merck also discussed other oncology assets, including INT, an interleukin-2 fusion protein being tested in melanoma and other cancers. Phase 2 data showed a significant improvement in cancer-free patients when INT was added to KEYTRUDA.
