Merck Posts Surprise Loss in Q2 2026 Earnings
Pharmaceutical giant Merck & Co., Inc. (NYSE: MRK) reported its second quarter 2026 earnings results, which showed a significant decrease in net income compared to last year.
Total worldwide sales were $16.6 billion, up 5% year-over-year and up 4% ex-FX.
However, the company posted a GAAP net loss of $1.33 billion, or $0.54 per share, compared to net income of $4.43 billion, or $1.76 per share, last year.
The adjusted loss per share was $0.13.
For full year 2026, Merck expects sales of $66.3-67.3 billion and adjusted EPS of $2.66-2.76.
