The last decade has seen a significant increase in streaming subscribers, from 30 million to over 800 million globally, according to Mercuriadis. He believes that the next decade will bring the most significant value shift ever for artists, songwriters, producers, and managers.
Mercuriadis is known for his work with Hipgnosis Songs Fund, Hipgnosis Song Management, and Hipgnosis Songs Capital, which invested in music catalogs associated with several notable artists. He recently announced the launch of Hipgnosis Artist Partnerships, where he serves as founder and executive chairman.
The Music Tectonics conference will feature discussions on various topics, including AI's potential to expand the industry's total addressable market through new licensing and royalty models.
