Meta Courts European Bond Investors for AI Funding

Meta Platforms Inc., the company behind Facebook and Instagram, has been meeting with European bond investors to explore funding options for its artificial intelligence (AI) infrastructure boom. This move comes as other tech giants like Amazon and Alphabet also tap overseas debt markets.

The meetings are part of a non-deal roadshow, which does not guarantee an offering. Meta's last debt issuance was in April through a $25 billion bond offering in the U.S. dollar market. The company is considering its first debt issuance outside this market.

This development follows Amazon's recent 4.25 billion pounds ($5.75 billion) bond sale in the UK sterling market and Alphabet's international debt raises throughout the year. Meta's shares have been performing well, with a 1% rise on Friday, and its technical analysis suggests improving short-term momentum.
