Mets No-Hit IronPigs with Shutout Performance
The Lehigh Valley IronPigs were shut out in an impressive display by the Syracuse Mets on August 30, 2026. The visiting team threw six different arms to no-hit the 'Pigs, securing their first-ever no-hitter at Coca-Cola Park.
Mark Vientos led the charge with a two-run homer in the first inning, giving the Mets an early lead. He added another two-run shot in the seventh and completed his trifecta with a solo home run in the ninth, making it 8-0 for Syracuse.
Vientos was not alone in his success, as Ronny Mauricio contributed with an RBI double in the third, and MJ Melendez hit a two-run bomb to stretch the lead to 7-0. The bullpen effort saw four different pitchers contribute to the shutout, with Zach Franklin closing out the game for the Mets.
